These Dexterity® economy gloves are made of gray 13-gauge nylon knit with PVC coating on the palms and fingers. The base text states that they are sold in pairs and are suitable for work where dexterity, tactile sensitivity, grip on wet or oily surfaces and silicone-free coating are important.
Superior manufacturer code: S13BPVC. These gloves are available in sizes ranging from extra-small (6) to double extra-large (11). Please select the size needed in the field located above before adding these gloves to your cart.
This glove has puncture resistance and abrasion resistance level 2 according to ASTM and ANSI standards. It also meets EN388 standards for protection against mechanical hazards.
This level of protection is expressed by the 4131 rating, where abrasion resistance is 4/4, cut resistance is 1/5, tear resistance is 3/4 and puncture resistance is 1/4.
This nylon knit glove is so finely woven that it has almost no effect on the sense of touch, which is useful for workers who need to keep tactile sensitivity. Nylon also does not lint and the PVC used for this glove model contains no silicone, making it suitable for the automotive industry.
Glues and adhesives do not adhere to the coating, which has also been foamed to increase grip on wet or oily surfaces.
Nylon exhibits good mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. It is highly wear-resistant, mostly to friction, does not strain the hand easily and resists heat well, but not open flame. Nylon has little to no absorbent quality, which is ideal if you want to keep your hands dry while working.
PVC is a thermoplastic polymer featuring excellent mechanical and chemical properties, even when heated. However, PVC has a higher polar nature, which gives it inferior electrical insulating properties.
The manufacturer recommends this glove to workers in the automotive field, but also for small parts handling, maintenance, construction, furniture manufacturing, window applications and woodworking.
Since this glove is only partially coated, it is not recommended to immerse it in liquids. PVC foam offers little to no resistance to UV light and organic solvents.
It is recommended to carry out basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water and a mild detergent. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
