Abatement Technologies manufacturer’s code: H1990M
This air purifier runs on a 120 V/60 Hz circuit and consumes up to 9 amps at full power. It is ETL-certified and compliant with UL and CSA safety standards. Its three-stage filtration system includes a primary filter, a pleated secondary filter (which can be replaced with an activated carbon filter for organic vapors), and a HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. The unit features a visual indicator that lights up when filters need replacement, ensuring consistent air purification.
It is equipped with three different filters, which overlap one another accordingly to a given order. The air scrubber comes with one set of filters, that is, a primary filter, an accordion-shaped secondary filter and a HEPA filter. It is now possible to replace the secondary filter by another secondary filter of activated coal for protection from organic vapors in low concentrations. This type of filter is particularly useful when it comes to mold decontamination work.
The professional solution for decontamination and asbestos removal.
The galvanized steel housing includes a 12-inch circular air outlet for duct connection and opens from the front for easy filter replacement. The unit weighs 56.7 kg (125 lb) and is equipped with four 4-inch casters—two fixed and two swivels—and four sturdy handles for safe transport. Dimensions: 89.2 cm wide X 48.6 cm deep X 76.8 cm high.

To install, place the unit in the treatment area, connect the exhaust duct to the outlet, and select the desired operating mode. Insert the filters in the recommended order: primary, secondary, and HEPA. The built-in visual indicator helps monitor filter status. This setup ensures quick and secure deployment.
The purifier’s visual indicator alerts users when filters need replacement. The primary filter captures large particles, the secondary filter traps mid-sized contaminants, and the HEPA filter removes fine particles. Maintenance should be performed in a well-ventilated area using protective equipment. Follow manufacturer guidelines for safe handling and disposal of used filters.
This test uses aerosol droplets calibrated to 0.3 microns to detect leaks in the filter media, frame, or seals. A certified label is affixed to the HEPA filter upon successful testing. On-site testing is strongly recommended. Additional fees may apply for remote locations.
Example 1: Room volume: 19,200 ft³ Low speed: 1050 CFM Purifiers needed: 1.21 → round up to 2 units
Example 2: Room volume: 20,000 ft³ High speed: 1600 CFM Purifiers needed: 0.8 → round up to 1 unit
These calculations assume ideal conditions. In practice, additional airflow may be required to compensate for leaks, door openings, power fluctuations, duct length, and filter saturation. Using a more powerful unit or combining two purifiers is recommended for added safety. Note that some provinces in Canada require 6 air changes per hour, so the 15 minutes should be replaced with 10 minutes.
Deploy this purifier in high-contaminant areas such as asbestos removal sites, mold remediation zones, and lead decontamination projects. Adjust the airflow speed based on room size and pollution level. Always use the recommended filters and perform regular maintenance and DOP testing to ensure optimal performance.
The built-in visual indicator lights up when filters need replacement, simplifying maintenance.
Yes, it is specifically designed for hazardous environments, including mold, lead, and asbestos remediation.
It verifies that the HEPA filter is leak-free and effectively captures 0.3 micron particles, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
