Polycarbonate spray nozzle with handle for 2.5″ hose, QST (Quebec) thread, fog stream, full stream or complete shut-off, sold individually.

QST tread fog nozzle is extremely useful tools for firefighters. They quickly bring fires under control by creating a water mist that cools the affected area and reduces the amount of smoke. Water fog is effective in extinguishing fires because it cools the burning area and reduces the amount of oxygen available to the fire. Hoses are also highly effective in protecting firefighters from flames and heat, by creating a water barrier between them and the fire. These handles are easy to grip, facilitating the user's progress.

Special features:
It is important to note that QST tread fog nozzles are not always the best option for extinguishing all types of fire. For example, it is not advisable to use water to extinguish a fire involving combustible metals such as magnesium, titanium, sodium and potassium. In addition, it's important to know how to use a fog stream correctly, and not to fight a fire if you're not sure what you're doing.

Application:

Here are some general tips for using a fire hose:

  1. Make sure the hose is connected to a reliable water source. Before using the hose, check that the hose is connected to a reliable water source and that the water pressure is sufficient to supply the hose.
  2. Aim at the base of the flame. When using the lance, aim at the base of the flames rather than the flames themselves. This puts out the fire faster and more effectively.
  3. Use the right type of stream. Depending on the situation, you may need to use either a straight or a diffused stream. A straight stream is more powerful and is used to reach distant areas, while a diffused stream is used to cover a wider area.
  4. Keep a safe distance. When using a fire hose, make sure you keep a safe distance from the fire. This will enable you to work more efficiently and reduce the risk of injury.
  5. Be ready to adjust your strategy. If the situation changes, be ready to adjust your extinguishing strategy. For example, if the fire is spreading rapidly, you may need to change position or use a more powerful stream.

Restriction:
You'll only find QST threading in Quebec, but sometimes you'll come across pieces of equipment with other types of thread.
