Semi-automatic, self-locking, oval-shaped carabiner. ½ inch opening, withstands a force of 5620 lbs (25 kN). Sold individually.
Semi-automatic carabiner requiring a double action to unlock and locking automatically. Oval-shaped brass hook. Opening of 5/8 po (11 mm). Suitable for anchoring fall-arrest equipment such as lanyards and self-retracting devices.
It complies with CSA Z259.12 standard, can withstand a force of 5620 lbs (25 kN) without deforming, with a capacity for 1 person with a maximum weight of 420 lbs (215 kg). The rotating locking ring withstands a force of 3600 lbs. This product also complies with ANSI Z359.12 standards.
Inspection:
The worker is responsible for performing a routine inspection before each use. During this routine inspection, the worker should observe any signs of deterioration, wear, malfunction or breakage. You must replace your carabiner at the first sign of any of the above-mentioned failures.
In addition, this carabiner should be inspected by a qualified person other than the worker using the equipment. Don't forget that the tougher the job and the more difficult the environmental conditions, the more often your equipment will need to be inspected. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be taken out of service.
Application:
On safety harnesses on construction sites or other activities at height, on sails and halyards.
Restriction:
Do not use bleach or other abrasive or chemical products.
Maintenance and service life:
For cleaning, use mild soap and lukewarm water (37°C). Air dry without excessive heat in a clean environment. You can lubricate the door mechanism only with graphite powder.
