The Taraton anchor system is designed for the vertical mounting of a 1.5 to 2.5 in diameter fire hose on a column, a beam or any other vertical support. Rather than winding the hose on a reel or a horizontal support, the Taraton hangs the hose in vertical loops, which protects the hose better and for a longer time. Its spring-loaded upper hook makes it easy to access the hose and deploy it quickly in an emergency.
This mounting method offers a concrete advantage in industrial settings : by keeping the hose high and along a vertical structure, it protects the equipment from forklifts and ground traffic. It is a robust, durable solution for buildings where wall space is limited or exposed.
Beyond simple storage, the Taraton extends the life of the hose and makes the response easier.
Vertical mounting avoids permanent kinks and crushing of the hose, protecting it better and longer than a horizontal support or reel.
The spring-loaded upper hook releases the hose easily, allowing fast deployment in an emergency.
The Taraton system is particularly suited to :
The vertical distance required between the hooks depends on the hose length and the desired number of loops. The following table shows the recommended configurations :
| Hose length | Number of loops | Vertical distance between hooks |
| 50 ft | 2 loops | 12 ft |
| 50 ft | 3 loops | 8 ft |
| 50 ft | 4 loops | 6 ft |
| 75 ft | 3 loops | 12 ft |
| 75 ft | 4 loops | 9 ft |
| 100 ft | 4 loops | 12 ft |
Fire hoses of 1.5 to 2.5 in diameter, mounted vertically on a column, beam or wall.
Vertical mounting protects the hose better and longer than a horizontal support or reel, and keeps it safe from forklifts.
Based on the hose length and the desired number of loops ; see the distance table above.
