The 3M Speedglas 06-0400-52 pivot mechanism connects the headband to the shell of 9100 helmets, on the left and right. It lets the helmet tilt and hold the chosen angle; new pivots fix a helmet that drops on its own. They fit the 9100, 9100 FX and 9100-Air helmets. Available as a unit, one pair, or in a bag of 5. It is also part of the complete (R06-0400-51) headband.
No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.

The 3M Speedglas 06-0400-52 pivot mechanism connects the headband to the shell of 9100 welding helmets, on the left and right sides. It lets the helmet tilt between the welding position and the raised position, and hold the chosen angle. When the pivots wear, the helmet drops on its own or will not stay raised: replacing them restores a firm, precise movement without changing the whole headband. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 FX and 9100-Air helmets. Available as a unit, one left and right pair, or in a bag of 5 for maintaining several helmets.
The pivots are used to maintain 9100 helmets in construction, industrial maintenance, fabrication and heavy infrastructure projects. They work hard at stations that alternate welding, grinding and assembly, where the helmet is raised dozens of times per shift. The bag of 5 suits shops that maintain several helmets.
The 06-0400-52 pivots are part of the complete (R06-0400-51) headband and can also be changed on their own. They work with the front part (R06-0400-53) and the ratchet rear part (R06-0400-54).
Before each use, check that the helmet tilts without play and stays in the raised position. Clean the pivots with lukewarm soapy water, without solvents. Replace them as soon as they are cracked or the helmet no longer holds its angle, using genuine Speedglas parts.
