The 3M Speedglas 06-0400-54 rear part is the ratchet section of the 9100 helmet headband: its knob adjusts head size, even with gloves on. When the ratchet slips, replacing it alone restores firm tightening without changing the 06-0400-51 complete (06-0400-51) headband. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 MP, 9100-Air, 9100 FX and 9100 FX-Air helmets. Black, available individually or in a bag of 5 for maintaining several helmets.
No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.

The 3M Speedglas 06-0400-54 rear part is the ratchet section of the 9100 welding helmet headband. It is what tightens the helmet on the head: the ratchet knob turns to adjust head size, even with gloves on. When the ratchet slips or the rear band cracks, the helmet moves and tires the welder; replacing this part alone restores a firm, precise adjustment without changing the whole headband. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 MP, 9100-Air, 9100 FX and 9100 FX-Air helmets. Black, available individually or in a bag of 5.
The rear part is used to maintain 9100 helmets in construction, industrial maintenance, fabrication and heavy infrastructure projects. It works hard at welding, grinding and assembly stations where the helmet is adjusted several times a day. The bag of 5 lets you restore several headbands in the same shop.
The 06-0400-54 rear part attaches to the 06-0400-52 pivots (06-0400-52) with the 06-0400-53 front part (06-0400-53); together they make up the 06-0400-51 complete (06-0400-51) headband.
Before each use, check that the ratchet holds its setting and that the rear band is neither cracked nor distorted. Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap, without solvents. Replace the rear part as soon as the ratchet slips or a part is broken.
