Lanyards
Sylprotec offers a wide range of safety lanyards with energy absorbers, essential for connecting the harness to the anchor point. The choice of lanyard depends on several criteria:
Length:
Anchor point:
The anchor point must be properly positioned to reduce risks. Attaching above the head is often preferred, as it minimizes obstruction and decreases the fall distance.
Fall distance:
The greater the fall distance, the stronger the impact. An integrated energy absorber slows down the fall and protects the worker from severe injuries. All our lanyards come equipped with energy absorbers.
Type of carabiner or hook:
- Standard (¾ in): Compatible with D-ring harnesses.
- Rebar (1¾ in): Suitable for reinforcement bars.
- Scaffolding (2½ in): Ideal for specific anchor systems.
Worker weight compatibility:
- 99 to 253 lb / 44.91 to 114.76 kg
- 100 to 255 lb / 45 to 115 kg
- 110 to 220 lb / 49 to 99 kg
- 200 to 350 lb / 90 to 158 kg
- 200 to 386 lb / 90.72 to 175.09 kg
