Compact, light and economical in a pack of 25, this strap provides a quick-to-install temporary anchorage point on rebar, ideal for pouring phases and work near edges.
The anchorage connector is installed on the concrete rebar before the pour. Once the concrete is poured, the straps serve as anchors for workers near the building edge. When all work involving a fall hazard is finished, the straps are cut. As with any fall protection anchorage point, assess the fall distance, the free clearance below the worker, the rescue measures and the anchor strength.
The worker is responsible for a routine inspection before each use: look for any sign of wear, cut, fraying, burn or degradation of the strap and loop. Replace the strap at the first sign of failure. It should also be inspected periodically by a qualified person other than the worker. Any equipment subjected to a fall or impact must be removed from service. Sylprotec offers a fall protection equipment inspection service; see the Services tab.
