The Peakworks twin-leg (Y) self-retracting lifeline is a personal fall limiter with two legs to stay "100% tied off" during transfers, equipped with an internal energy absorber and a length of 6 ft (1.83 m). Its webbing is made of Dyneema® (0.8 in wide × 0.07 in thick), renowned for its cut resistance and suitable for leading-edge applications. Its aluminum scaffold hooks reduce the weight carried by the worker.
Peakworks product code: V845626006LE, model SRL-70602-6LE. This lifeline complies with ANSI Z359.14-2014 Class B and CSA Z259.2.2-2017. Designed for leading-edge (LE) applications, it protects against sharp edges according to the manual's conditions of use.
It is fitted with two aluminum scaffold hooks with a large 2-1/2 in (64 mm) opening, self-locking with double action. With a vertical anchorage, this fall limiter can support a worker weighing 310 lb (140 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment. The arrest distance varies with the anchorage layout; consult the manufacturer's manual for the required clearance.
This twin-leg LE SRL combines continuous "100% tie-off", lightweight aluminum hooks and cut resistance.
The anchorage point must be positioned according to the manufacturer's instructions for leading-edge applications. The user must assess the fall distance, the clearance below the worker and the anchorage strength (5000 lb). The large-opening scaffold hooks attach directly to tubes; the twin-leg format keeps the worker tied off during transfers. For more information, consult the manufacturer's manual.

The worker is responsible for performing a routine inspection before each use. The worker must check the retraction and locking of the webbing, the fall indicator, the carabiners, and note any sign of degradation, wear or breakage. Replace the equipment at the first sign of failure. This SRL should also be inspected periodically by a qualified person other than the worker, according to the manufacturer's frequency and conditions. Any equipment that has withstood a fall or an impact must be taken out of service. Sylprotec offers a fall protection inspection service; to learn more, see the Services tab.
For cleaning, use a mild soap and lukewarm water (37 °C). Do not use bleach or abrasive or chemical products. Keep the mechanism clean and dry. Air dry, without excessive heat, in a clean environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and to any source of contamination.
The aluminum scaffold hooks offer a large opening (2-1/2 in) to attach to tubes while reducing the total weight carried by the worker.
An LE lifeline is designed to withstand abrasion over a sharp edge during a leading-edge fall, where the webbing or cable could run over a cutting edge. Follow the manufacturer's conditions of use.
It supports a worker with a total weight of 310 lb (140 kg), including clothing, tools and equipment, with a vertical anchorage.
To complete your fall protection, also consider a self-locking carabiner (FPAM88), an anchorage sling (FPAE), a fixed anchorage point (FPA822), a concrete connector (FPAF075N), a Koala harness with quick buckles (FPH02474A), a Koala harness with grommets (FPH33102A), a Koala harness with pass-thru buckles (FPH33101A) and a storage bag (FPBAG).
