This manual punch is a simple, effective, and sturdy tool specifically selected for safety professionals and building owners. It is designed to cleanly perforate inspection tags, whether made of cardboard or plastic, to permanently document the monitoring of your fire protection equipment.
This hole punch offers great value for the price. It is recommended for punching inspection tags on an occasional, monthly or weekly basis. The hole punch works on cardstock tags (IPTAG6A) and on plastic tags (IPTAG4A) and can punch up to two cardstock tags at once.
This hole punch makes 1/8" (3.2 mm) round holes and has a maximum reach of 2" (5 cm). The receptacle collects punched-out paper bits (Chad) to keep a neat work environment.
For accurate punching, use a marker to draw guidelines on both sides of the tip, just above the bladed cylinder.
Permanent Marking: Unlike ink, which can fade or wash away over time and with exposure to moisture, perforation is an unalterable marking method.
Ideal Size: Its 1/8-inch (approx. 3 mm) hole is perfectly suited for standard inspection tag boxes, allowing for precise reading of the month and year.
Robust Construction: Made of durable metal, this punch is built for repeated use during your safety rounds.
Easy Handling: Its ergonomic and lightweight design ensures comfortable use, even when inspecting a large fleet of extinguishers.
Hole Diameter: 1/8 inch (3.17 mm).
Material: Chrome-finished steel.
Usage: Cardboard, thin plastic, and paper.
Type: Manual and economical.
Yes, it is powerful enough to pierce plastic inspection tags (such as the EXT-INSP-F model) as well as traditional cardboard tags.
This standard model allows you to easily reach the boxes located around the edge or in the center of regular-sized tags.
In industrial or outdoor environments, humidity and cleaning products can make pen markings illegible. The punch ensures that proof of your inspection remains visible until the tag is replaced.
Simple occasional cleaning to remove cardboard or plastic debris is sufficient. Its basic metal structure does not require complex lubrication.
"Punching is the preferred method for professional inspectors. It eliminates any ambiguity during safety audits or fire department visits. I recommend attaching the punch to your inspection clipboard or keyring to always have it on hand during your monthly checks."
