The 3M Speedglas 06-0300-55 silver front panel is the chrome front of 9100 series helmets: it closes the front of the helmet and holds the outside protection plate in front of the filter. When it is marked or cracked, replacing it restores a clean front and secure retention. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 QR and 9100-Air helmets. Available individually or in a bag of 5, with the 06-0200-51 outside (R06-0200-51) plate sold separately.
No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.

The 3M Speedglas 06-0300-55 silver front panel is the chrome front that closes 9100 series welding helmets and holds the outside protection plate in front of the filter. Exposed first to sparks and impacts, it eventually gets marked or cracked: replacing it gives the helmet a clean front again and secure retention of the plate. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 QR and 9100-Air helmets. Offered individually or in a bag of 5, it lets you keep a spare front near each station so that no helmet stays out of service.
The panel is used to maintain 9100 helmets in metal fabrication, construction, industrial maintenance and heavy infrastructure projects. It protects the front of the helmet during welding, grinding and assembly. A shop supervisor can keep a bag of 5 to restore several helmets during the same maintenance round.
The 06-0300-55 fits on the 9100 shell in front of the filter cassette. The 06-0200-51 outside (R06-0200-51) plate sits behind it; for 9100XXi filters, 3M offers the heat-reflecting 06-0300-55i (06-0300-55i) panel.
The 9100 instructions explain that you simply remove the front panel to change the outside plate, then put it back. Clean it with lukewarm water and mild soap, without solvents. Replace it if it is cracked, distorted or no longer holds the plate correctly.

Yes. 3M specifies it for the 9100, 9100 QR and 9100-Air helmets.
3M pairs the 06-0300-55i panel with the 9100XXi filter. The standard 06-0300-55 panel is also heat-reflecting, so this property alone does not distinguish the two models. Choose the panel specified for the helmet and filter configuration.
No. The panel holds it, but the 06-0200-51 plate is ordered separately.
To keep spare fronts and restore several helmets without waiting for an order.
With lukewarm water and mild soap, without solvents.
Behind this silver front panel, the welder wears SecureFit SF202 glasses (YASF202) under the helmet and Endura goatskin and Kevlar gloves (G625) for MIG and TIG. A split-leather bib apron (VT1288), leather spats (VCSPL4) for the feet and the H505B earmuff (H505B) complete the outfit.
The front panel protects the filter; also replace the 06-0200-51 outer (R06-0200-51) plate, the 06-0200-52 hard-coat (R06-0200-52) plate or the 06-0200-53 heat (R06-0200-53) plate, then the 06-0200-30 inside (R06-0200-30) plate if the installed filter is a 9100XX or 9100XXi; 9100V and 9100X filters require their own inside plate size. The 06-0500-53 covers (06-0500-53) close the side windows of the same 9100 helmet.
