The 3M Speedglas 07-0680-00 magnifier holder installs a magnifier in the filter's line of sight on your Speedglas 100 helmet. No more slipping lens: the holder keeps it in place so you can look closely at small joints and preparation details. The bag contains 2 holders; the magnifier is ordered separately, from 1.5x (R06-0500-56) to 3.0x (R06-0500-59). A simple way to equip the helmet or replace a damaged clip.

For fine welds, precise tacks or reading a mark on the workpiece, a magnifier makes a real difference. The 3M Speedglas 100 07-0680-00 magnifier holder secures a compatible magnifier in the filter's line of sight, in the position intended by 3M. Once the magnifier is in place, it no longer moves while you work. The holder lets you equip a series 100 helmet with a magnifier, or restore an assembly whose original clip is damaged. Sold in a bag of 2, it leaves you a spare holder or enough to equip a second helmet. Power is chosen on the magnifier side, among models 06-0500-56, 06-0500-57, 06-0500-58 and 06-0500-59 from the 3M catalogue.
This holder is designed for the Speedglas 100 helmet and for the older filters specifically listed by 3M with this holder. The Speedglas 1.5x (R06-0500-56), 2.0x (R06-0500-57), 2.5x (R06-0500-58) and 3.0x (R06-0500-59) magnifiers are offered separately on our website and appear in the series 100 helmet parts list. It belongs in construction, heavy infrastructure and industrial maintenance, wherever welding, grinding or assembly is done up close.
Follow the fitting procedure in the Speedglas 100 instructions: install the compatible magnifier, engage the holder, then raise and lower the helmet away from welding to check that the assembly holds. Also check that the protection covers stay in position.
Keep a close eye on the holder clips. If the magnifier becomes loose or shifts when you raise the helmet, examine the holder: a crack, distortion or broken retainer means it is time to fit the second holder from the bag.
The holder and its magnifier are installed in the complete series 100 helmet, with the welding filter that protects your eyes from the arc. Keep the protection covers specified for that filter in place.

No, the bag contains 2 holders only. The magnifier is chosen separately, according to the power you want.
It all depends on your eyesight and working distance. The 3M catalogue offers 4 powers, from 1.5x with the 06-0500-56 up to 3.0x with the 06-0500-59.
As soon as the magnifier is no longer held firmly: broken clip, cracked or distorted holder.
For small joints, precision welds and preparation details, wherever a close-up view helps keep your movements precise.
The welder reading fine detail under a 100 helmet wears OTG eyewear (YAU0112) over prescription glasses and split-leather welding gloves (G601). A flame-resistant Nomex cap (V308), an H10B neckband earmuff (OPH10B) and an orange flame-resistant long-sleeve shirt (V339) complete the outfit. Before starting, adjust this equipment to your work clothing and inspect its condition while preparing the welding station.
The holder takes a magnifier (R06-0500-56), a lens (R06-0500-58) or an optic (R06-0500-59), selected to suit the welder's viewing needs. On the same 100 helmet, the hard-coat (R07-0200-52) plate or the standard (R07-0200-51) plate protects the outside face of the filter. Check these components when preparing the helmet for its next maintenance session.
