A supplied-air workstation can benefit from an adjustable helmet without adding battery-blower management; the correct supply must be prepared first. The 3M Speedglas G5-03 Pro Air 45-5702-00 helmet pairs the Pro Air welding facepiece with a V-100 Vortex cooling valve, for work under breathable air delivered by a supply network. The valve, worn on the TR-326 belt, adjusts the temperature of the air sent into the helmet; it comes with the V-199 adapter, V-112 pad and SG-30W tube, in a G5 storage bag. The helmet has side windows and takes a G5 model suspension. The welding filter, breathable air supply and supply hose are not part of the kit.
The supplied-air G5-03 Pro Air serves a specific need: retaining the Pro Air helmet's adjustable comfort at a workstation already equipped with breathing air. The V-100 valve acts on supplied-air temperature, while headpiece controls change direction and distribution. The wearer can tailor facial comfort without confusing those adjustments with a change in air quality.
G5 headgear positions the helmet and optical viewing area, and side windows help maintain awareness of nearby movement. The filter is selected separately: this reference does not impose G5VC Variable Colour technology or G5TW tack-welding mode. Those capabilities belong to the filter subsequently installed and its instructions.
The waist-mounted arrangement groups the valve, support and belt, with a breathing tube leading to the helmet. The G5 bag keeps these parts together when not in use. The supply, supplied-air hose and approved assembly still need to be prepared before entering an exposed area.
This configuration is aimed at shops and sites already equipped with a breathable air network: shipbuilding, tank fabrication, welding in hot enclosures or structural shops where a battery turbo would be restrictive over long periods. It also lets a Pro Air welder be equipped for supplied air while keeping the same helmet family as the shop's Adflo powered stations.
Use the welding helmet only between -5 and +55 °C. Do not use it where contact with an open flame is possible. Do not use the system in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, unknown contaminant concentrations or conditions immediately dangerous to life or health. If a G5TW or G5VC filter is installed, flammable or explosive atmospheres are also excluded: these filters are not intrinsically safe. Follow the 3M restrictions regarding oxygen, unknown contaminants and atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health: the valve does not replace a documented and approved breathable air supply. Without a welding filter, the helmet is not ready for welding. 3M excludes laser welding and heavy overhead work that exposes the wearer to molten metal.

Sold separately: welding filter, breathable air supply and air supply hose.
Before putting it into service, the respiratory protection program must confirm the quality of the supplied air, the choice of a supply hose compatible with the V-100 valve and the welder's training in connection. This configuration does not filter ambient air: it distributes air from the connected supply. 3M welding respirators and our respiratory protection range present other solutions according to the exposure.
G5-03 Pro Air platform, model 45-5702-00, polyphthalamide (PPA) shell, black colour, side windows, G5 model suspension. V-100 valve, V-199 adapter, V-112 pad, TR-326 belt, SG-30W tube, G5 bag. Packed weight: 14.082 lb / 6.387 kg. The configuration assembled with an approved filter meets ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3.
Start with the supplied-air installation: breathing-air supply, couplings, hose and valve operating conditions. Route the hose so it does not pull on the belt or helmet as posture changes. After fitting the face seal, use Pro Air controls to distribute circulation towards the face, visor and top of the head.
A comfort adjustment is not a protection check. Verify system operation separately according to the supply instructions. For the optics, fit an approved filter and protection plates, then select suitable welding or grinding modes. The light and extended coverage illustrated in the range remain optional accessories to select for the task without modifying the respiratory system.
Before each shift, check the condition of the helmet, SG-30W tube, V-100 valve and belt, as well as the connection to the air supply according to the 3M instructions. Replace a split tube or a leaking fitting without delay. Do not clean the shell with solvents, immerse it or spray liquid on it. Between uses, store the kit in the G5 bag.
An approved welding filter with its plates, plus a breathable air supply and a supply hose approved for the configuration.
Yes. The TR-326 belt and SG-30W breathing tube are included, with the V-199 adapter and V-112 pad.
Yes. It is a cooling valve that adjusts the temperature of the air sent into the helmet.
No. The 45-5702-00 does not include a safety helmet.
No. The 45-5702-00 is a supplied-air configuration with a V-100 valve. Breathing air comes from the connected installation. Pro Air adjustable distribution operates within that assembly, but no battery blower or Adflo filter is supplied.
For the supporting tasks around this welding station, protect the eyes during tasks away from the welding arc with eyewear (YA12E90801); protect the hands while handling cool parts with gloves (GSTAFGFNT); keep hearing protection available near the workstation with earplugs (OA1101); mark access routes around the work area with marking (ECT3RE9); mark access routes around the work area with marking (EPTCONE36).
For maintenance of this configuration, select the components corresponding to the parts being replaced: component (RSG-30W) 3M Speedglas Self-Adjusting Breathing Tube for Adflo PAPR, spare (RVTR326) 3M Versaflo Extended Durability Belt for TR-300 PAPR. For model 45-5702-00, check the model on the worn part before servicing; parts from other series are not interchangeable by default. To compare model 45-5702-00 with distinct configurations, also review variant (RG5-03), solution (R45-1101-30VC), model (RG5-01V). Compare their contents with model 45-5702-00; the parts are not presumed interchangeable.
