For an assembly inspected between passes, contrast recognition and access to the clear visor support task changes. The 3M Speedglas 9100 MP 37-1101-30iSW-CA kit is the Canadian version of the 9100 MP supplied with a welding filter and a powered respirator. The 9100 MP helmet holds the 9100XXi auto-darkening filter, which switches from light shade 3 to dark shades 5 and 8 to 13 and offers a 2.9 X 4.3 in / 73 X 109 mm view. The Adflo turbo assembly, fitted with a high efficiency particulate filter, supplies the helmet with purified air. This configuration suits welders who want equipment ready to assemble, without selecting the welding filter and the respiratory portion separately, while staying within the 9100 MP range.
This configuration brings together 9100XXi optics and the 9100 MP combined-protection layout. The filter improves colour and contrast perception compared with traditional optics in the range, helping the wearer read joint edges and surface changes. The hard top and clear visor address tasks where head and face protection must remain coordinated.
The welding shield lifts to expose the visor during preparation or grinding. The welder therefore does not need to remove the entire headpiece to examine a pass behind the visor. Side windows maintain awareness of movement around the work area without permitting arc viewing outside the main filter.
Adflo circulates filtered air from the waist-mounted unit. The motor blower regulates operation as filter resistance or battery condition changes. This assistance in maintaining airflow is accompanied by indicators and alarms; it does not replace inspection and an airflow check before the shift.
The kit addresses welding stations where welding fumes justify particulate respiratory protection, for example in metal fabrication shops, structural repair or heavy equipment maintenance. It suits crews already used to 9100 MP helmets and their parts who want a complete configuration with the 9100XXi filter. Shade 5 of the filter complements welding shades 8 to 13 for tasks that require it according to the instructions.
Do not use the helmet for laser welding, processes requiring shade 14 or higher, or heavy-duty overhead welding where molten metal may fall. Operate the welding filter only between -5 and +55 °C. The high efficiency filter protects against particles; no gas or vapour cartridge is included. Do not use the kit in an atmosphere that is oxygen deficient, of unknown composition or immediately dangerous to life or health. Use only an approved configuration, check the airflow before use and leave the area as soon as a battery or airflow alarm occurs.
Set the shade of the 9100XXi filter according to the table in its 3M instructions.

Supplied in a case of one unit. Gas and vapour cartridges are not included.
Before putting it into service, the workstation assessment must confirm that particulate protection is suitable and that the atmosphere stays within the limits stated by 3M. The program includes training in assembly, airflow checks and alarms, as well as filter replacement. The parts of this system are found among Adflo welding respirators; for other contaminants, see our full range of respiratory protection.
9100 MP platform, Canadian model 37-1101-30iSW-CA, 9100XXi filter, light shade 3, dark shades 5 and 8 to 13, 2.9 X 4.3 in / 73 X 109 mm view. Polyphthalamide (PPA) shell. Adflo turbo assembly with high efficiency particulate filter. Packed weight of the kit: 13.171 lb / 5.974 kg. Sold as one unit.
Before leaving for the site, check battery charge and examine the full tube length for holes, tears or insecure connections. Fit the face seal in contact with the face according to the instructions, without folds or clothing disturbing its position.
Check airflow with the device intended for the system before entering a contaminated atmosphere. If a low-airflow or low-battery alarm occurs, leave the area immediately and address the cause outside exposure. The filter-loading indicator does not report gas-cartridge exhaustion. The supplied high-efficiency filter configuration does not become gas/vapour protection merely by adding an unverified accessory.
3M recommends replacing the helmet shell no later than 3 years after its manufacture date, including both storage and use. Replace it sooner if damaged or subjected to a severe impact, even without visible damage. Inspect the turbo, high efficiency filter, tube and battery before each use, then perform the airflow check according to the Adflo instructions. Replace any damaged part before resuming work. Also check the condition of the 9100XXi filter and its protection plates, and replace a scratched plate that impairs vision. Store the kit clean and dry, away from spatter.
Yes. The 9100 MP helmet comes with the 9100XXi auto-darkening filter, the Adflo turbo assembly and a high efficiency particulate filter.
A light shade 3 and dark shades 5 and 8 to 13, to be set according to the table in the 3M instructions.
No. The supplied filter targets particles and no gas or vapour cartridge is included.
Leave the work area immediately, then check the battery, filter and airflow before resuming use.
It provides the included auto-darkening filter and more natural colour and contrast perception for following the pool and examining the joint. The MP helmet adds the hard top, side windows and grinding visor; Adflo provides the particulate respiratory component.
When organizing the tasks around this helmet, protect the eyes during tasks away from the welding arc with eyewear (YASF401BG); protect the hands while handling cool parts with gloves (GS21TXUGFN); provide hearing protection after checking fit with the helmet with earmuff (OPH10B); for low-traffic walkways on a suitable surface, use anti-slip tape (ECT748); it is not an access barrier; mark access routes around the work area with marking (ECT750R).
For maintenance of this configuration, select the components corresponding to the parts being replaced: component (R06-0200-30) 3M Speedglas Inner Protection Plate for 9100 Welding Helmets, Bag of 5, faceseal (R27-0099-28) 9100MP face seal, visor (R06-0700-54) 9100MP grinding visor, cover (R35-1099-81) Adflo filter cover. For model 37-1101-30iSW-CA, check the model on the worn part before servicing; parts from other series are not interchangeable by default. To compare model 37-1101-30iSW-CA with distinct configurations, also review variant (RG5-01V). Compare their contents with model 37-1101-30iSW-CA; the parts are not presumed interchangeable.
