Configure a respiratory welding station around the 3M Speedglas G5-03 Pro Air 45-0099-35. Its controls distribute air around the face and head, while headgear and side windows support working comfort. Welding filter and respiratory supply are excluded; approved combinations must be selected separately.

Already using a compatible respiratory supply? Pro Air alone lets the buyer focus on the helmet, optics and airflow comfort. The 3M Speedglas G5-03 Pro Air 45-0099-35 welding helmet lets the shop build a respiratory welding configuration around equipment already on hand. 3M declares it compatible with Adflo respirators as well as the TR-300+ and TR-600 series, for approved powered air purifying use; supplied air uses authorised Versaflo valves and components. The helmet comes without a welding filter and without a respirator: a G5TW or G5VC filter or a passive filter of shade 10, 11, 12 or 13 is installed, then the helmet is connected to the selected respiratory system. Its side windows widen the view and it weighs 1.555 lb / 0.705 kg.
The Pro Air headpiece alone is a configuration choice for a workshop already using a compatible respiratory supply. It provides the G5-03 headpiece, headgear and side windows without requiring a new blower or a particular welding filter. Adflo and TR-300+ and TR-600 powered air systems are among the combinations announced by 3M; a Versaflo supplied-air connection requires its own approved assembly.
Air distribution is a practical reason to choose this helmet. Controls allow flow towards the face, visor or a blend, followed by distribution between the top and sides. In a complete system, the wearer can seek a balance between perceived cooling and eye discomfort. These adjustments affect comfort within the headpiece, not the types of contaminants captured by the respiratory system.
Filter choice remains open among approved models. Tack welding and colour perception are different optical functions available only with a suitable filter. The unfiltered version lets that choice be made for the workstation.
3M intends this helmet for welding in general manufacturing. It is of interest to shops that already own Adflo turbos or Versaflo TR-300+ or TR-600 respirators and want to add compatible welding helmets, and to maintenance departments replacing a damaged Pro Air helmet without changing the respiratory portion. It also suits stations that alternate between powered air purifying and supplied air depending on the site.
Use the welding helmet only between -5 and +55 °C. Do not use it where contact with an open flame is possible. With a G5TW or G5VC filter, do not use the helmet in flammable or explosive atmospheres: these filters are not intrinsically safe. Once the respiratory system is assembled, do not use it in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, unknown contaminant concentrations or conditions immediately dangerous to life or health. Without a welding filter, the helmet is not ready for welding. Without a connected respirator, it provides no respiratory protection: protection depends on the complete approved system and its limits. 3M excludes laser welding and heavy overhead work exposing the wearer to molten metal.

Not included: welding filter, powered respirator or supplied air system, tube and safety helmet.
On the optical side, install a G5TW or G5VC filter or a passive filter of shade 10, 11, 12 or 13 with its plates. On the respiratory side, connect the helmet to an Adflo, TR-300+ or TR-600 respirator with the connecting parts specified by 3M for the chosen configuration. Then check the connection seal and air delivery before entering the welding area.
G5-03 Pro Air platform, model 45-0099-35, polyphthalamide (PPA) shell, black colour, side windows, G5 model suspension. Weight: 1.555 lb / 0.705 kg. The complete helmet assembled with an approved filter meets ANSI Z87.1; CSA Z94.3 compliance applies to the G5-03 Pro Air fitted with a G5TW, G5VC or passive shade 10, 11, 12 or 13 filter, never without a filter.
Build the system from the authorised combination list, then check the breathing tube and connections. A compatible blower alone is insufficient if the tube, respiratory filter or headpiece does not match the intended assembly. Fit the helmet and position its face seal correctly before adjusting airflow direction.
Add the selected optical filter and protection plates, then check operation in the working conditions. Any TAP grinding or cutting function depends on the installed filter and its settings. Head covers, neck protection and the task light shown by 3M remain accessories to select for the task. They are not all included with the 45-0099-35.
Before each use, check that the helmet, installed filter and air connection are undamaged and correctly fitted; replace a damaged part. Do not clean the shell with solvents, immerse it or spray liquid on it. Between shifts, store the helmet separately from the respirator if it is shared, away from heat and spatter.
No. It is sold alone, without respirator, welding filter or safety helmet.
Adflo, TR-300+ and TR-600 are powered air purifying systems. Supplied-air use requires the Versaflo V-Series valve and separate air supply specified in the complete 3M-approved configuration.
A G5TW or G5VC filter or a passive filter of shade 10, 11, 12 or 13.
Yes, the G5-03 Pro Air 45-0099-35 has side windows.
Pro Air is listed for Adflo and certain Versaflo configurations. Check the complete approved combination of headpiece, tube, supply and filters. TR-300+ and TR-600 are powered air systems; supplied-air use requires a separate supply and assembly.
For a welder connecting this Pro Air to the station turbo, plan Ultra-spec 2001 OTG glasses (YAU0112) to wear over prescription lenses and TenActiv Pro cut-resistant gloves (GSTACXPNRT) with reinforced thumb for handling parts. Cordless Laser Lite earplugs (OA1101) complete hearing protection, while black anti-slip tape (ECT748) and orange traffic cones (EPTCONE36) flag the air hose on the floor.
For maintenance of this configuration, select the components corresponding to the parts being replaced: component (R35-5401-01) 3M Adflo Complete PAPR Turbo Assembly with Lithium-Ion Battery, spare (R35-1499-01) 3M Adflo Turbo Assembly, without Belt,, accessory (R15-0099-16) 3M Adflo Leather Belt for PAPR, flowmeter (R15-0099-05) Adflo flow indicator. For model 45-0099-35, check the model on the worn part before servicing; parts from other series are not interchangeable by default. To compare model 45-0099-35 with distinct configurations, also review variant (RG5-03-E09-0100). Compare their contents with model 45-0099-35; the parts are not presumed interchangeable.
