This type of tarp is widely used in the construction industry to establish a confinement area particularly for work generating dust. This type of tarp is thus recommended for asbestos abatement related activities. It may also be used as a temporary wall to cut the wintry cold and wind while working outside. During asbestos abatement, this tarp is ideal to cover big pieces of furniture or any other bulky items. One may refer to this product as "rip" as it is the case for the construction workers.

Technical data:
This tarp is a reinforced and laminated high density polyethylene woven canvas (1000 denier) covered with a low-density polyethylene layer. This item is readily workable and weighs only 4.5 oz/yd². 

This material has fracture strain of 16% and meets ASTM-D-5035 and ASTM-D-02261 standards as regards tear resistance. This material also meets CAN/ULC-S109 CPAI84 standards as regards flame resistance.

We also offer a 3 mils thick rip-free (SACCT2) which is not fireproof.
