Second stage optional filter for organic vapours for the PREDATOR® 750 portable air scrubber (SAH1) or any other model of air scrubber which requires a 16 in X 16 in X 2 in filters. Sold individually. 

This second stage filter captures particles 3 µm to 10 µm such as mold spores, hair spray, fabric protector, dusting aids, cement dust, etc., as well as organic vapours in low concentrations. This filter is the second stage of an air scrubber’s filtration system. It has been designed to capture particles between the sizes of 3 µm to 10 µm and to let the smaller travel through to be filtered by the HEPA filter. This filter features the Vapor-Lock® technology which causes a surface phenomenon by which the molecules of organic vapours will adhere to the activated charcoal surface of the filter; this is what we call adsorption. It is recommended to replace the secondary filter every 72 hours to 3 months depending on the concentrations in which the contaminants are found. Please note that the machine will not emit a signal once the charcoal filter is saturated; it is by the smell that we know it’s time to change the Vapor-Lock® filter.

This blend of cotton and polyester filter is disposable and has been designed to extend the life of the HEPA filter.

This filter has been listed as UL900 class 2 for its smoke emission and flammability limits. This filter has also a MERV 6 rating (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) according to the measuring scale to rate the effectiveness of air filters set by the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Condition). A rate 6 means the effectiveness of this filter turns around the capture of 90% of the particles between 3 µm and 10 µm. 

This filter can also be a replacement second stage filter on many other air scrubbers by Abatement Technologies: CAP1200 and CAP1200-UVP or any other models on the market that requires a filter of the same dimensions.
